Course Description/Membership: Sloping hills and scenic views. The most elegant of the city’s social clubs, which is reflected in the pricey membership fee of more than RD$250,000 and monthly dues of RD$1,000+. Diplomats are admitted for a reduced membership fee of RD$150,000+ and monthly dues of RD$1,600+. A 15-day invitation-permit to play golf can be obtained from a member, but this invitation is non-renewable.

Course Description/Membership: The Las Lagunas Country Club, a 15-minute drive outside the city. The course was originally designed by Peter Dye, but somewhat modified during its construction. The Las Lagunas course is widely spread over hilly terrain and offers scenic views, with exhuberant vegetation reflected in small lakes throughout. Lovely club house with pool and restaurant facilities and rarely crowded. This course is located in a real estate development.
Membership is RD$75,000 for a share that is readily negotiable. Monthly dues are RD$1,000. Tel. 561-7288, Ext. 23.
